Meltem Koca

Dr. Meltem Koca is a geriatrician currently working at TR Ministry of Health Dışkapı Training and Research Hospital, Ankara, Turkey. She completed her internal medicine residency in 2018 and fellowship in Division of Geriatrics in 2022 at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine from which she had graduated with honors in 2013.

She is a member of European Geriatric Medicine Society (EuGMS) and actively participating in Vlogs Working Group as a member as well as co-chairing in Mapping Working Group and Rotations Working Group of the EuGMS-Early Career Geriatricians Initiative (ECGI).

She granted with one of three scholarships of EuGMS for the XIVth Course of European Academy for Medicine of Aging (EAMA) in 2021.

Her research area mainly includes frailty, malnutrition and functionality of older adults. She is also interested in agism and its effects on health and care of older patients.
