Abdullah Sayıner

Prof. Dr. Abdullah Sayıner is a faculty member at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pulmonology. He has worked in the same department since 1986, when he started his pulmonology residency training. He also worked at Mayo Clinic as a research assistant in 1989-1990, and at Louisiana State University as a visiting professor in 2008. He is a member of the Central Board of the Turkish Thoracic Society, the chairman of the Respiratory System Infections Working Group, and a member of the Honorary Board at various times. He took part in the preparation of all national pneumonia diagnosis and treatment guidelines published so far. Since 2015, he has been working as a program committee member of the American Thoracic Society Respiratory System Infections Working Group. He has published about 100 scientific articles in various fields of pulmonary diseases. He acted as a scientific referee for many internationally respected journals. In addition, he served as a member of the Senate, Deputy Dean, Member of the Faculty Administrative Board, and Head of the Department at different periods at Ege University.
