I am a Medical doctor with postgraduate education in Public Health and Field Epidemiology. I also did a fellowship in One Health from Duke University and a Fellowship in Global Health from the University of Washington United States. An experienced Public Health Specialist and Epidemiologist having 21 years of working experience. Currently working with the Global Health Development/Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (GHD/EMPHNET) as Country Director for the Pakistan Office. My Key areas of expertise are; Infectious disease control programs, Public health surveillance Systems, Community based Health Programs ( MNCH, EPI, Family planning, Polio Eradication Initiative, Nutrition, TB DOTs) and Health system management. My other key experience areas are; Teaching/Mentoring postgraduate Students, disease surveillance and outbreak response, and capacity-building trainings. As an expert reviewer, I am associated with many International Scientific conferences, Public Health Journals and the National Health Research Institute Pakistan to review abstracts, manuscripts and research proposals. I have presented my research work at many international Scientific conferences. A significant number of Publications in international and national peer review Journals. Member of different global and regional public Health networks; The Middle East, Eurasia And Africa Influenza Stakeholders Network (ME'NA-ISN), The World health organization’s consultant roster for Polio and the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) , Global COVID-19 technical advisory group and also as a collaborator associated with the Global Burden of Disease collaborator network managed by the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington USA.
